Planning & Environmental
Planning
We represent our members on all relevant working parties relating to Environmental Permitting of operations in Scotland, England, Wales and NI who all have their own regulatory bodies dealing with the environment.
We review the legislation and regulation affecting quarries such as the Mine Waste Directive, Waste Directive and various recycling, re-use and recovery activities that can be used.
We continually monitor and review all other legislation affecting minerals and restoration activities such as flood risk, climate change, drainage, run off and water storage.
We monitor and challenge opinions and papers from other bodies such as Natural England, Historic England, CADW, NatureScot, Historic Scotland, Wildlife Trusts, RSPB and other lobby groups such as CPRE.
