Handover of Chairmanship

Ric Clemmy

Ric Clemmy, Managing Director of Smith & Sons (Bletchington) Ltd, was presented with his Past Chairman of the British Aggregates Association framed certificate 2023 – 2025. This is in recognition of his outstanding leadership, dedication, and invaluable contribution. His commitment to the industry and unwavering support for our members have left a lasting legacy. It is with sincere gratitude and appreciation, we thank you for your service.

We are thrilled to introduce Paul Boustead, Managing Director of Longcliffe Quarries Ltd, as our new Chairman.

Paul says “I would like to thank the Board for placing their trust in me as the next Chairman of the British Aggregates Association. I am very grateful for this opportunity which gives me a strong sense of purpose for the future of the aggregates industry. Our organisation is at an exciting point in its evolution. The accomplishments under our previous Chairman over the past two years, in particular, give us a great base to build upon. My thanks to Ric for his leadership and direction during this time. I think we can all agree the Association is stronger and better placed to represent the needs of our members thanks to his endeavour.”

Paul then goes on to say “My vision, aligned to the Board and that of our CEO, focuses on three main areas: improving our service offering to our members, growing our membership and increasing our lobbying of government to maintain the extractive industry as a key component for economic success across the UK. The approach I have enjoyed during Ric Clemmy’s tenure is one I am keen to continue – with a spirit of openness and a considered approach to working with all stakeholders to take the Association and the industry forward.”
